PRAY:
Dear God, help us to remember
that we can trust in you, even when things seem uncertain, scary, or sad. Help give us strength to stand up for our faith and know that you are with us always.
We ask this through Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

At our Family Faith Gathering, we celebrated the victory of the Cross!

Youth and Family Faith Formation

At the Pastorate of Saint Patrick and Saint Joan of Arc, we believe that faith is a lifelong journey—one that grows best when it is nurtured in community. Our Faith Formation Program seeks to provide opportunities for children, teens, and families to encounter Christ, grow in their relationship with Him, and live as joyful witnesses of the Gospel.

Through prayer, learning, worship, service, and fellowship, we walk together as disciples of Jesus.

Whether you are just beginning your child’s faith journey, preparing to receive a sacrament, seeking to deepen your family’s prayer life, or looking for ways for your teen to grow in faith with their peers, we are here to walk with you.

Sunday Catechesis Classes provide children with the foundation of our Catholic faith in a fun, engaging, and age-appropriate way. Each week, trained catechists lead students through lessons that explore Scripture, Catholic teaching, prayer, and how to live as disciples in daily life. These classes nurture children’s understanding of God’s love and prepare them to participate fully in the life of the Church.

Family Faith Gatherings

Faith begins at home, and our Family Faith Formation gatherings bring families together to learn, pray, and celebrate as a community. These special events often include family-friendly activities, fellowship, and opportunities to deepen understanding of our Catholic faith. Family Masses give children and families the chance to take active roles in the liturgy, making worship
a joyful, shared experience.

Youth Ministry at the Pastorate of Saint Patrick and Saint Joan of Arc offers middle and high school students a space to belong, grow, and live out their faith. Through regular gatherings, service opportunities, retreats, and social events, youth are invited to encounter Christ in prayer, friendship, and service. Together, they learn to navigate life’s challenges with faith and to discover their place in God’s plan.

The sacraments are God’s greatest gifts to us, where we encounter His love in powerful and personal ways. At the Pastorate of Saint Patrick and Saint Joan of Arc, sacramental preparation is more than just learning requirements—it is about growing closer to Jesus and becoming active members of His Church.

First Reconciliation
& First Communion

Children learn about God’s mercy and forgiveness in Reconciliation and the great gift of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Preparation includes both classroom sessions and family activities.

Confirmation

Our Confirmation program invites young people to deepen their faith, discover their gifts, and commit to living as witnesses of Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

During Sunday Mass at the First and Third weekends, children in grades Pre-K through 5th grades are invited to gather separately to hear God’s Word proclaimed in language they can understand. Through Scripture readings, reflections, and prayer, children are introduced to the richness of God’s Word and helped to connect it to their lives. They then return to the assembly to continue the celebration of the Eucharist with their families.

Some children may be joining our parish family at a later age and have not yet received their sacraments. OCIC is a process that welcomes these children and guides them—along with their families—toward full participation in the Church through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. With patient guidance, prayer, and community support, OCIC helps children grow in faith and become part of the life of the Church.
