OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adult)
OCIC (Order of Christian Initiation for Children)
OCIC (7-17 years of age)
Some children may be joining our parish family at a later age and have not yet received their sacraments. OCIC is a process that welcomes these children and guides them—along with their families—toward full participation in the Church through Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. With patient guidance, prayer, and community support, OCIC helps children grow in faith and become part of the life of the Church.
OCIA Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (18+ years old)
Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Sacramental Preparation is conducted through our OCIA/OCIC program. The process for becoming Catholic is called the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults, which is our formation process for adults who:
-
Have never been baptized
-
Have been baptized but want to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation
-
Those who have been baptized in another faith and would like to become Roman Catholic
OCIA is the Catholic Church’s process to bring people, through study, spiritual growth and community, into the heart of the Kingdom of Heaven.
OCIA is a faith journey designed to meet our fundamental spiritual needs as God’s children and help us identify with and become a part of a faith community. The OCIA program begins each fall and ends at Easter the following spring.

If you are curious about the Catholic faith but not yet ready to commit to OCIA. That is OK! We welcome you to the classes too.
